Whitechapel
Whitechapel, a name synonymous with respect in the metal world, is coming to Stockholm to take the stage at Broken Summer! With their powerful and vibrant sound, the band promises a performance filled with strength, depth, and musical brilliance.
With one of the most impressive catalogs in modern metal, they made a thunderous impact in 2019 with the album The Valley, a confident evolution in their sound that quickly set a new standard for the genre. Guitarist Alex Wade described the album as “an almost perfect record,” a milestone that showed Whitechapel could embrace a new sound and win support from their fanbase.
With their latest album, Kin (2021), which deepens the dark and storytelling style of The Valley, Whitechapel has ventured into even broader musical and emotional territory. This album is both brutal and melodic, a hybrid of rock and metal that reflects their journey and evolution, blending the raw intensity of death metal with an open and dynamic sound. Frontman Phil Bozeman continues his personal exploration through lyrics about trauma and alternate realities, creating a gripping and dark story that fans worldwide have connected with.
After working intensively during the pandemic to create Kin, Whitechapel is now ready to return to the stage and give their fans what they’ve been waiting for—a live experience where their epic songs receive the power and atmosphere they deserve.
